Husker Nation

Last Saturday, we got to go to Nebraska Cornhusker's first football game of the season. We rode down to Lincoln in style! We left the house at 8:30am because the game started at 2:30. Kyle's dad, stepmom, sister Kris, brother-in-law Lynn and a few friends joined us. I have been to one other Husker game 9 years ago and I completely forgot how amazing the experience is. Everyone goes WILD for their Cornhuskers. The crowd is out of this world. ASU games pale in comparison, that's for sure.

Kyle and I hung out with everyone before the game and then watched 3 quarters of the game in the stands, and then watched Nebraska lose at the last second (literally) with everyone at a bar. Talk about depressing.

Geri, Granny VT, Kim-and her 3 kids all stayed back to watch Presley, Jackson, and McCartney. They even kept them overnight! What a nice treat. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins, and Kyle and I had a blast getting to spend some quality time together. It would have totally been a WIN-WIN-WIN situation if Nebraska would have only kept it together. Oh well! There is always the next game...
